Uninstall UtiliVera and remove saved data safely

The uninstallers remove program files. They deliberately preserve user-created work, settings, recovery data, and quarantine records so an uninstall cannot silently destroy your files.

UtiliVera Image

Delivery: Portable

  1. Close the app and delete UtiliVeraImage-Windows-x64.exe. If installed with Scoop, run scoop uninstall utilivera-image.
  2. Confirm the application is closed.
  3. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\UtiliVera\Image into File Explorer.
  4. Review the folder contents, then delete the product folder only if you no longer need the data.

What to review: Remove only after exporting any recipes or reports you want to keep.

UtiliVera Duplicates

Delivery: Inno Setup

  1. Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → UtiliVera Duplicates → Uninstall.
  2. Confirm the application is closed.
  3. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\UtiliVera\Duplicates into File Explorer.
  4. Review the folder contents, then delete the product folder only if you no longer need the data.

What to review: Contains settings, hash cache, profiles, recovery ledgers, and quarantined files. Restore or move quarantined originals before deleting it.

UtiliVera OCR

Delivery: Inno Setup

  1. Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → UtiliVera OCR → Uninstall.
  2. Confirm the application is closed.
  3. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\UtiliVera\OCR into File Explorer.
  4. Review the folder contents, then delete the product folder only if you no longer need the data.

What to review: Contains settings and the personal recognition dictionary. User-saved projects and exports stay wherever you chose to save them.

UtiliVera Capture

Delivery: Inno Setup

  1. Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → UtiliVera Capture → Uninstall.
  2. Confirm the application is closed.
  3. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\UtiliVera\Capture into File Explorer.
  4. Review the folder contents, then delete the product folder only if you no longer need the data.

What to review: Contains settings, history/recovery state, and diagnostic records. Saved screenshots, projects, GIFs, and videos remain in their chosen folders.

UtiliVera Scan

Delivery: Inno Setup

  1. Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → UtiliVera Scan → Uninstall.
  2. Confirm the application is closed.
  3. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\UtiliVera\Scan into File Explorer.
  4. Review the folder contents, then delete the product folder only if you no longer need the data.

What to review: Contains settings and the autosave recovery workspace. Save or discard recovery work before deleting it; exported documents remain in their chosen folders.

Silent uninstall for managed PCs

Inno Setup deployments can use the installed uninstaller with /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART. Administrators should discover the exact uninstaller path from the product's Windows uninstall registry entry instead of assuming a fixed user profile. Removing retained user data should be a separate, explicit policy action.
