What the tool does not hide
Resizing creates new pixels, not new detail.
Downscaling removes pixels permanently. Upscaling can make an image larger but cannot recreate missing detail. Preserve aspect ratio unless deliberate stretching is required, and keep the originals.
JPEG and WebP quality affects file size; PNG is lossless and may be much larger for photographs.
